Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Lead the operational aspects of the engineering team, encompassing AI, front-end, back-end, quality assurance, and web development. Concentrate on refining methodologies, processes, tools, and enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
- Coordinate with project leads to identify challenges, mitigate risks, and devise solutions, ensuring success across multiple projects.
- Manage the professional development and growth of the engineering team. This includes providing feedback, mentoring, coaching, and providing career development guidance.
- Implement and oversee best practices in engineering processes, ensuring consistent standards and high-quality outputs.
- Efficiently hire, allocate and manage resources, including personnel and technology, to maximize productivity.
- Foster a collaborative environment and maintain effective communication channels within the team.
- Collaborate with leads from cross-functional teams, including product, art, animation, and product operations, to align on project goals, prioritize tasks, and facilitate the delivery of high-quality products/services across multiple projects.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Regularly assess team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to address challenges.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Significant experience with at least 05+ years of experience in an engineering management role, preferably in a startup or fast-paced tech environment.
- Strong technical background with proficiency in at least one of these technical stack: AI, games development, C programming languages, Mixed-Reality etc., that is relevant to Bootloader Studio.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles, agile methodologies, and best practices in software engineering.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to motivate and inspire teams
- A team player, a servant leader that empowers team members, allowing autonomy and responsibility while providing necessary support and in complex situation, making sound decisions under pressure
