What you will do
A person like you. As our Engineering Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the operational excellence of our engineering team of 20 talented members across 3 time zones. Your role is pivotal in managing the 'how' of our engineering processes, focusing on the methodologies, team dynamics, and best practices that enable our engineers to excel.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
  • Lead the operational aspects of the engineering team, encompassing AI, front-end, back-end, quality assurance, and web development. Concentrate on refining methodologies, processes, tools, and enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
  • Coordinate with project leads to identify challenges, mitigate risks, and devise solutions, ensuring success across multiple projects.
Team Development:
  • Manage the professional development and growth of the engineering team. This includes providing feedback, mentoring, coaching, and providing career development guidance.
Process Optimization:
  • Implement and oversee best practices in engineering processes, ensuring consistent standards and high-quality outputs.
Resource Management:
  • Efficiently hire, allocate and manage resources, including personnel and technology, to maximize productivity.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Foster a collaborative environment and maintain effective communication channels within the team.
  • Collaborate with leads from cross-functional teams, including product, art, animation, and product operations, to align on project goals, prioritize tasks, and facilitate the delivery of high-quality products/services across multiple projects.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Performance Management:
  • Regularly assess team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to address challenges.

What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Significant experience with at least 05+ years of experience in an engineering management role, preferably in a startup or fast-paced tech environment.
  • Strong technical background with proficiency in at least one of these technical stack: AI, games development, C programming languages, Mixed-Reality etc., that is relevant to Bootloader Studio.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles, agile methodologies, and best practices in software engineering.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • A team player, a servant leader that empowers team members, allowing autonomy and responsibility while providing necessary support and in complex situation, making sound decisions under pressure
