Report line: Engineering Manager ⎮ Department: Engineering
- Take ownership of motion matching locomotion system
- Work closely and constructively with design, animation, and programming teams to realize creative ambitions
- Coordinate the implementation of new animation systems and features
- Work within Unreal Engine 5 and adapt existing systems and build new animation technology in order to fulfill the project’s technical needs
- Solid knowledge of C++, object oriented design, and a 3D math background
- Minimum 1-3 years experience as an engineer related to animation systems
- Familiar with multi-threading techniques and common optimization related to animation
- Experience in creating and improving animation systems in game engines
Nice to have
- Experience with animation systems within Unreal Engine such as skeleton, state machines, physics, animation retargeting, IK, animation compression, facial animation, etc.
- Knowledge of animation systems such as blend trees, procedural animation, multiplayer animation, and asset management
- Experience working with or creating a motion matching system for game engines is a big plus
